I don't drink much coffee, but when I do, I drink flavored coffee. Snickerdoodle, by Neighbors, to be exact. But not everyone likes flavored coffee. So it makes sense to have a small coffee maker around so one can have (so I can have) special coffee on occasion. You need a 10 or 12 cup coffee maker for a gang. A four cup is just for you.
I have tried different four cup coffee makers and I really like the Mr. Coffee one. It is easy to use, easy to clean and doesn't take up much real estate on the counter. It also has a Pause and Serve feature if you just can't wait for that first cup. When I use it I grind the beans, then put six heaping teaspoons of coffee in the filter. Perfect cup every time. And these coffee makers are pretty cheap. Yet another virtue.
