Luna Bars by Donald Burger, Houston, TX
My Favorite Meal Replacement Bars

You know how it goes. Sometimes you think you are too busy to go out for lunch. Or you're watching your weight or you are flying and you don't look forward to the high carb treat the airlines call lunch (or dinner). Or you're on the road and you won't get home until way past dinner time. What to do. Skipping the meal is not the answer.

My answer is to eat a Luna Bar. I have tried most of the meal replacement bars, but most are too dry, or just plain tasteless. Plus, they did not slay my appetite. Luna bars do a much better job of that, and they taste better, too.

My favorite flavors are Nutz Over Chocolate, LemonZest and Key Lime Pie. If you are going to eat a meal replacement bar, you might as well eat a good one. Luna bars have a good nutritional mix (usually around 180 calories, 10 g of protein, 7 g of fat, 25 g of carbohydrates and 12 to 21 g of sugars). The only thing I don't like about them is the dopey slogan that they are "The whole nutrition bar for women." I guess they picked that since they don't have 20 grams of protein like most nutrition bars geared for men. Or maybe because they actually taste like food. I don't know. Give them a try anyway, whatever your gender. I think you will like them.
